A quicktime tutorial

What you need:

  • Quicktime Player (free from Apple's site)
  • A .mov file

    • Open your quicktime movie and select Save for Web...

    Name your movie and I suggest putting it into a new folder somewhere in the root folder of your website. Make sure the iPhone, iPhone (cellular) and Computer check boxes are checked.

    The files will be placed into the folder with a new jpg and html file.

    Open the html file in a browser and follow the instructions. It will provide you with code you need to copy and paste in the <head> tag and also into the <body> tag of the web page you want to display your movie.

    Note: If you are not happy with the image that shows when the movie is loading, edit the jpg to whatever you want and then update your links.
